To put the following remarks in context, my wife and I have bought and sold no fewer than ten properties in the US, UK, France, and Italy. Aliza and Elissa proved to be the most impressive realtors we have encountered.

From our very first contact with Aliza and Elissa, we were impressed by their deep knowledge not only of the socio-economic fundamentals of the greater Boston area, but also of the detailed state of the real estate market in Brookline.

Aliza and Elissa gave us invaluable advice about preparing the apartment for maximum market value, greatly enhancing its existing features without engaging in expensive updating. They prepared a superbly impressive advertising brochure, complete with state-of-the-art photography and a comprehensive set of technical information (some of which we ourselves discovered for the first time).

In preparation for the apartment going on the market, they went to great lengths to maximize the first impressions for buyers. They brought urns of flowers to adorn the entrance to the building, new doormats for the lobby and the apartment itself, vases of flowers for the living and dining rooms. They arranged preliminary visits for a range of other real estate professionals in Brookline and beyond.

Their energy and commitment during the process of organizing open houses and individual visits was truly extraordinary. There was no limit to the hours they devoted both to that process itself, and to communicating to us the details of its outcome. Their advice on setting the sale price proved crucial to the success of the operation. When it transpired that two buyers were prepared to bid against one another, Aliza and Elissa handled those sensitive negotiations with consummate skill.

Once the sale had been agreed, Aliza and Elissa proved to be first-rate professionals in organizing all the legal and financial arrangements, thus sparing us – a senior couple on the verge of retirement – all the complex iterations involved in actual completion. This even extended to acting as substitutes for the USPS in hand delivering crucial documents between ourselves, lawyers and financial institutions.

Throughout the process, we deeply appreciated their interpersonal skills and basic human warmth. They also proved to have extensive and invaluable knowledge of other professionals (bookstore owners, record buyers, antique dealers, and used furniture specialists) who proved to be crucial in helping us empty the house of its possessions. 

In sum, we cannot recommend Aliza and Elissa too highly. They are a credit to their profession. Those fortunate enough to enjoy their advice will understand what motivates us to write this testimonial.
